Sagamihara Masonic Lodge No.13

 

Sagamihara Masonic Lodge began as Sagami Square and Compass Club.
June 27, 1956, Sagami Square and Compass Club submitted an application of 20 members with the recommendation of the Far east lodge # 124 to the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippine.

The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines MWB Clinton F. Carlson GM gave Sagamihara Masonic Lodge a special dispensation.

On March 16, 1957, the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Japan was formed. With the formation of the Grand Lodge of Japan, Sagamihara Masonic Lodge UD Returned Special dispensation under which it had been working with the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Philippines, and was issued a charter by the newly formed Grand Lodge of Japan.  Sagamihara Masonic Lodge, under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Philippines, thus became, on the 16th day of March 1957, Sagamihara Masonic Lodge under the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Japan.
